Karen has come full circle with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). As a child, she took Chinese herbs (sold by her father) and received acupuncture regularly. After decades of western lifestyle and "Go Go Go" mentality, she rediscovered TCM and holistic treatments as part of her healing journey.
She left the structural engineering field and studied multiple modalities including BodyTalk, Ashtanga Yoga, Reiki and Medical Qigong before studying TCM. This allowed her to deepen her understanding of the human body; physically, mentally and emotionally. Karen comprehends how physical pain can manifest from stress and other complex emotions. She understands.
She is licensed with The College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Acupuncturist of Ontario. Not only does Karen offer TCM Acupuncture, she is also proficient in Electro-Acupuncture, Scalp Acupuncture, and Bloodletting. Her needling technique is gentle and effective. She combines Guasha, Cupping therapy, Tuina, and Shiatsu with Chinese Nutritional advice to provide well-rounded treatments.
