TCM Acupuncture is the insertion of very fine, sterile, single-use, disposable needle into one of 361 acupuncture points, found along 14 meridians or channels in the body.
As our body is connected by an intricate nervous system, these acupuncture points stimulates the PNS (peripheral nervous system) locally and in turn, the CNS (central nervous system consists of the brain and spinal cord, only). This stimulation instigates the body’s innate ability to self-regulate and self-heal.

Trust me when I say, Homeostasis is what all of our bodies strive for! However, due to one reason or another, our bodies over time gets clogged up like any system and need a nudge or a reboot. Think of a car engine clogged up with gunk or the plumbing in your home plugged up with clumps of hair and kitchen grease – this isn’t much different than having fat and cholesterol clogging up your arteries.
Since your body is interconnected, this is why during an acupuncture treatment, your registered acupuncturist may needle your foot to treat your migraine or headache! Your body is treated as a whole and you are not sent to 3 different specialists, as it is not compartmentalized! This is also why, when you come in with an acute injury in your right shoulder, we choose to needle your left shoulder instead! When we needle one side, it also affects the other side of your body!
Acupuncture can not only address sore or tight muscles. We can address poor circulation causing cold hands and feet or sluggish lymphatic system causing edema. In addition, we can also help with digestive issues, reproductive problems, respiratory, psycho-emotional issues, and much more.
